First, any reading required in high school for homework was covered thoroughly the next day in class, whereas in college the lectures may compliment the reading, but do not directly reference anything from the text. Studying in college is a lot different than in high school. I study by reading a lot more than I ever have and I listen in class to make sure I remember what's been talked about in the lectures. I also type out study guides for all of my classes, which I don't think I ever did in high school until it got to final exam time. In high school, I didn't study much in groups as I do in high school. I feel I learn better when I can teach other people information and we can exchange notes taken in class because sometimes other students pick up on more important information than others.
